Art In Fashion

News

ArtinFashion

ART IN FASHION is an inaugural art & fashion exhibition featuring five local fashion designers presented by One East Asia ARTSpace. Coming from an artistic angle, it is a platform where 5 designers unleashed their creativity and reveal their artistic identity via a different art form.

Participating designers include Pauline Lim of label Pauline.Ning, Priscilla Tan of Chalk, Kaehana of KAE.HANA, Rayson Tan of RAYSON TAN and Joanne Loh of UNCVRD. These designers first started out from Parco next NEXT, a joint initiative between PARCO (Singapore) Pte Ltd and the Textile & Fashion Federation (TaFf).

Each of these designers exhibit two exclusive artworks, which represent their artistic identity and branding. They also sell their fashion inventories alongside the artworks. This is an interesting platform to prove and discover that designers are first artists too. Through this exhibition, consumers can re-think and explore more about the brand than what has already been perceived.

One East Asia’s artistic direction for this exhibition builds on the characteristics in art expressionism used by these participating five Singaporean designers through their drawings & colour field paintings.

By crossing the fine line between Art and Fashion, this exhibition reaches out to art collectors and fashion enthusiasts alike.
