From 3rd to 5th December 2021, Visual Arts Centre will host the art exhibition – Courage, Hope and Love in the time of a pandemic, showcasing a total of sixty six award winning artworks by children and youth between seven to eighteen, who have participated in the inaugural art competition. With the intention to inspire artistic talent and creativity, and to engage the children and youth in Singapore to create original artworks with their reflections on the COVID-19 pandemic – the art competition themed “Courage, Hope and Love in the time of a pandemic” begun to receive submissions from 30 April to 30 October 2021. With a strong response of close to 500 submissions for the art competition, the young artists have submitted wonderful original artworks that demonstrated their inspirations and thoughtful insights on their own experiences of the pandemic.
This art competition is organised with the purpose to engage, challenge and inspire Singapore’s youth (ages 12 – 18 years) and children (ages 7 – 11 years old) in creating original and creative artwork. The artworks depict their reflection on the courage, hope and love experienced or felt during the COVID-19 pandemic.
