As Singapore prepares to mark SG60, Fiidaa Art and The Working Capitol have partnered to present 28 Frames – a curated art exhibition inviting the public to reflect on identity, place, and imagination through the lens of four local contemporary artists.
Held at two of The Working Capitol’s locations – flagship hub at 1 Keong Saik and their newest expansion hub at 39 Ann Siang – the exhibition showcases 28 framed artworks by four Singapore-based artists.
Unlike traditional exhibitions in white cubes and museums, 28 Frames is rooted in the idea of “reframing the everyday.” It’s an invitation to pause amidst the rhythm of daily life and engage with visual narratives – some meditative, some bold – that mirror Singapore’s evolving identity.
The 28 selected artworks are strategically exhibited in everyday transitional and communal spaces – like stairwells, co-working rooms and lounges – encouraging viewers to pause, notice, and engage with their surroundings in new ways.
Timed with Singapore’s 60th year of independence, 28 Frames becomes not just a visual experience, but a meaningful gesture – inviting the public to consider how identity, place, and imagination continue to evolve in the spaces we inhabit every day.
