Local live music in Singapore often thrives in the shadows—alternative, underground, and rarely in the mainstream spotlight. Objectifs is proud to showcase A Love Song, an exhibition by photo-artist Mary-Ann Teo, bringing Singapore’s past and present band scene to the forefront through striking black-and-white photographs spanning from the early 1990s to today.
An ardent supporter of live music, Mary-Ann has documented stalwarts such as Force Vomit, The Stoned Revivals, and Hanging Up the Moon since her days as a gig-chasing youth, alongside current emerging acts like The CB Dogs and True Anger. Her photographs capture the energy of venues past and present, mapping the spaces where Singaporeans come together to experience music, community, and creative expression.
