Get ready to have a whale of a time at the National Museum of Singapore’s new intergenerational playground, A Whale of a Tale. In celebration of the playground’s launch and the National Museum’s 138th anniversary, the museum grounds will be transformed for one day only into a carnival of fun and play for all ages.
At the heart of the celebrations is ‘A Whale of a Tale’, an intergenerational playground that draws inspiration from the museum’s early zoological collection and Singapore’s familiar mosaic playgrounds. Families can look forward to an array of activities, including carnival game booths, scavenger hunts, drop-in crafts, and roving circus acts. To encourage intergenerational bonding, don’t miss the Playground Design Mosaic Tray workshop, where participants can sketch their own playground design and turn it into a colourful mosaic on an A5 wooden tray.
