In Abiogenesis, Liang Jiang strives to portray a familiar Singaporean cityscape with numerous fantasy and sci-fi elements, depicting settings that mirror the real places in Singapore, particularly seen through the eyes of someone living in an age recovering from dystopia.
Born in 1993, Koh Liang Jiang graduated from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts with a Diploma in Fine Arts (Western Painting) in 2014. Liang Jiang is a multi-disciplinary artist, and he is most proficient in ink and acrylic paintings. Despite heavy emphasis on realistic details, his present focus resides in the realm of fantasy, albeit with varying connections to real life. Most of his creation derived from folk tales, ancient mythology and popular science fiction.
