About Bloody Times is an exhibition curated by Of Limits Collective, will be showing at Art Outreach Singapore from 18 to 27 April 2025. This exhibition brings together the works of five female artists—Cheryl Yip, Hannah Dale, Nurul Atiqah Zaidi, Duæ Auræ, and Jomel—to address the physical, emotional, and social dimensions of womanhood.
Through diverse artistic practices — including textile installations, photography, video, sculpture, and mixed media — the exhibition confronts deeply personal and collective experiences tied to the blood shed of women. It examines themes often shrouded in silence such as gender-based oppression and violence, menstruation, hysteria, endometriosis, and the ongoing cycles of inherited trauma passed from mother to daughter. By reclaiming the narratives around women’s bodies, About Bloody Times transforms blood from a symbol of pain and stigma into one strength, vitality, and, at times, defiance.
Please note that the exhibition contains mature content that may not be suitable for younger audiences.
