Art talk by Iskander Walen
In this introductory lecture presented by Orange Gallery Singapore, Dutch artist and gallery manager Iskander Walen will present a broad overview of the history of art, the various forms of expression, purpose, meaning, and business of art. This lecture will explain when humans first began creating art and what the likely reason was, and take us through a journey of how art and the motivation for its creation has developed over time. This introduction is meant for those who would like to find a greater appreciation for this rich and fascinating form of human expression. Art can sometimes be challenging, sometimes even difficult, but more than that it is a beautiful and necessary enrichment of our lives.
