“And also I am not.” presents a body of work that lives in the repetition of quiet gestures, and ephemeral thoughts. Developed during an artist residency in late 2024 in Onishi, Japan, Kit approached ceramic clay for the first time.
Being able to escape the daily grind of a cosmopolitan city, Kit was able to deeply explore this new material, and the sculptures produced during this time are exhibited alongside newer works that continue this meditative practice of making through repetition.
