Annotations

Art takes centre stage at SMU’s Li Ka Shing Library with an exhibition by students using photography as a medium to communicate and share personal narratives.

The exhibition features the photo projects of ten students who were selected through SMU Libraries’ open call to participate in a ‘Digital Photography: Visual Diary’ workshop conducted by Objectifs Centre for Photography & Film. For a month, students developed their interests and creativity under the guidance of Singaporean photographer Deanna Ng, as they explored the art of visual storytelling and crafted their narratives through photography. Like notations in the margins, their photo projects reveal an exchange within and between themselves, the city, and campus life.
