Jin Yi Art Gallery presents “Applause II” – a collection of the fine oil paintings of Tan Choh Tee, Tay Bak Koi and Leo Hee Tong, Singapore’s notable second-generation artists. The rich imagination and creativity of these artists generated a series of incredible works of sublime visuals that express a harmonious juxtaposition of man and nature, of old and new, and a nostalgic longing for the times of the bygone kampong days.
In addition, a collection of fan paintings entitled “Serendipitous Medley” by Singapore’s third-generation artist, Ling Yang Chang, will also be exhibited. Quietly elegant yet layered with meanings, these small fan paintings effortlessly convey a textured richness beyond their simple forms.
