Art forgery is almost as old as art itself. Focusing on paintings, this talk discusses forgeries of the past and present, and how they can be detected. Dr Kraemer-Dreyer will discuss the most successful forgers of the recent past, focusing on their motivations, techniques, and strategies for deception. She will also touch on how collectors are affected by the fakes and forgeries circulating in the art world.
