Artist Talk by Hélène Le Chatelier and Pang

Part of InkMagination III, an exhibition celebrating intersections in the work of Singaporean and French artists.

Hélène Le Chatelier, a French artist based in Singapore since 2010, and Pang, a Singaporean artist, will explain why, for both of them, the journey is more important than the destination.

Their creative process being informed by the chapters of their own lives, they are in a constant search of a safe space to dwell when the world around them seems chaotic. Their technique fluidly evolves from one series to the other in order to give form to the concepts underlying the artworks.

In “Missing Parts” and in “Untitled (yet)” series, both Hélène Le Chatelier and Pang used a very repetitive and tedious method. The meditative nature of their endeavour breeds exceptionally poetic and soothing artworks.

Their presentation will be followed by a Q & A session.
