Introduction and post-dialogue by Josef Ng, Managing Director – Asia.
Held in conjunction with Singapore Art Week, Pearl Lam Galleries is pleased to present a dialogue with artist Luke Heng, artist and curator Michael Lee, and writer Euginia Tan. Through candid conversation, the panel will reveal personal insights into the exhibition, on the occasion of the launch of the “After Asphodel” artist process booklet, which Lee and Tan have contributed written responses to in the form of an essay and an assortment of poems. They will also discuss Heng’s fascination with eschatology and liminality, which seeps into his painterly contrasts of light and dark; of the two-dimensional and three-dimensional; and of the temporal and everlasting.
With the Support of Gillman Barracks. The conversation will be conducted in English.
