Join Artist Ong Kian Peng and his guest speaker, Dr Daniel Friess, as they share ideas of integrating Art, Science and Technology.
Ong Kian Peng recently completed his MFA in Design| Media Arts, UCLA and is currently looking forward to his artist residency in Tokyo Wondersite, before returning permanently to Singapore. Prior to his stint in UCLA, he obtained his BA(Hons) Interactive Arts at LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore.
Dr Daniel Friess is an Assistant Professor from National University of Singapore, Department of Geography. His research uses the broad framework of ecosystem services to investigate changes to coastal ecosystems, and how to best protect them. Working with mainly Government agencies, NGOs and academic collaborators in Southeast Asia, he investigates these questions from the patch to the landscape-scale, integrating a range of field-based and remote sensing techniques.
