How can one build with less carbon? What local alternatives are available? And what practical steps can designers take today to create a more sustainable future?
Assemble for Impact is a public initiative that brings together an engaging exhibition and collaborative workshop to explore how Singapore can reduce its carbon footprint in the building and construction sector. The exhibition breaks down what carbon means in this context, highlights its environmental impact and presents key statistics specific to Singapore.
Visitors will discover innovative design approaches – like design for disassembly, circular construction and nature-inclusive design – alongside sustainable materials such as homegrown and recycled products. Curated and hosted by international design studio Henning Larsen, the exhibition will feature inspiring projects by local businesses tackling the carbon challenge head-on. Complementing the exhibition, a workshop invites participants to explore how locally produced materials and circular economy practices can shape more sustainable, nature-friendly spaces.
Venue: Henning Larsen, 100 Amoy Street, Singapore 069920
