Grey Projects is inviting applicants for a month-long residency in Berlin, Germany. The residency will take place in March − June 2018, and will include airfare, accommodation, as well as a modest materials fee.
The residency welcomes art writers, curators, and any individual interested in the possibilities of what art writing could be. Cross-bred forms are highly encouraged (biography of objects, epistolary theory, interview as novella, etc). The residency includes presentation opportunities such as readings and/or talks upon the applicant’s return to Singapore.
The applicant is expected to be independent-minded, one who appreciates quiet, solitary studio hours. the applicant can look forward to curatorial and administrative support in project development and networking opportunities with artists, writers and art spaces in Berlin. The studio is conveniently located to two train stations in old East Berlin.

– A CV (2 pages max)
– 8 to 10 images of recent work/exhibition in a PDF file of under 5MB, and/OR 2 to 3 writing samples
– Residency project/research proposal of no more than one-page in length. Supporting materials for the proposal, such as drawings, snapshots, sketches, and video clips can be included, but are not mandatory. Proposal and supporting materials (if any) should not exceed 3MB/3 pages in total
