Bloom is a one of a kind networking event for women in the arts. Offering the intimacy and friendship of curated networking, with the vitality and richness of the crowd. Make meaningful new connections with other women in the arts.
‘Bloom’ and ‘Women in Arts’ are collaborative projects organised by Elaine Friedländer, Founder Nüwa; visual artist Mamakan; visual artist Cecile Spirit; Illustrator Julie Lee; Beverly Hiong, Founder Music and Makan; Debasmita Dasgupta, Founder My Father illustrations; and Jolie Michelle Ow, Founder Canvass.
Women in Arts is who we are – an independent group of women working in the arts in Singapore. We welcome other women artists, art professionals and patrons of the arts, to join us and contribute. To volunteer or support Women in Arts please contact us.
About this Bloom event
Bloom participants will experience both, an intimate dinner that allows them to build meaningful connections and friendships – as well as a large scale networking opportunity hosted by a centrally located arts venue. All in the same night. Talk about multi-tasking!
Participation
We will be asking each woman attending to bring a story (personal or work related), and a dish of food enough for 10 people to taste. It can be home-cooked, bought, we really don’t mind. Please come with an open heart and mind, and an empty stomach! Drinks and transport between venues, and networking are all included in the ticket price.
Important note about locations
The start and end of the night will be in different locations. The dinners are hosted by our founders in private venues, as such addresses will be sent out to you a week before the event. The final location is a centrally located venue downtown, with easy access to public transport; MRT, bus and taxi.
