Book Launch | DELAY: A Comics Anthology

Step into a timeline of your own making at the book launch of DELAY: A Comics Anthology, our latest Southeast Asian comic anthology that speaks to all the momentary lulls and unexpected detours in our lives.

Together with our friends at everyone’s favourite oversharing indie bookstore Wormhole, we’ve got a packed afternoon of games and activities that’ll put a new spin on time. Running late? No judgments here — we’ve already got an excuse for you with our fortune cookie excuse generator, free with each entry.

From across timezones, hear from our creators and editors before feeling the seconds warp in Timewinder, a guess-the-song competition with a twist, where the songs are all on 0.5x speed! The best part? Three lucky winners with the highest number of guesses will walk away with Wormhole bookstore vouchers!

Get your copy of DELAY at the Wormhole pop-up booth, or stay in the moment with minigame stations Slow-mo Charades or Own Time, Own Target.

ABOUT THE BOOK
Looming milestones and missed connections. Resisting mainstream expectations and doing life at your own pace. What does DELAY mean to you? Writers and illustrators from Southeast Asia take on this theme in a comics anthology curated by guest editors Charis Loke and Paolo Chikiamco. From explorations of identity and inner worlds to the twists and turns of modern life, these stories offer restoration, room for reflection, and invite us to reclaim time in our own ways.
