Since the beginning of the 1960’s, botanist Francis Hallé could always be found with a sketchpad in hand, ready to draw the marvels that he observed around him – from the depths of the rainforest to botanical gardens across the world. He first visited the Singapore Botanic Gardens more than 30 years ago, observing and documenting the local flora and fauna. A selection of his life’s work will be showcased in Singapore for the first time as part of Voilah! French Festival Singapore 2018. Take a glimpse into Francis’ illustrious botanical career, and join him on an adventure through these wonderful snippets and sketches from his field notes.
