In the meeting of earth and fiber, Braided Histories explores the deep interconnections between material, memory, and identity. Rooted in the legacies of handwoven textiles and hand-shaped ceramics, this exhibition reflects on the tactile narratives that shape our collective and individual pasts. Each work stands as both artefact and invitation—tracing the resilience of tradition while opening pathways for reinvention.
Through the rhythm of the loom and the fire of the kiln, the pieces in this collection transform raw materials into vessels of belonging and solidarity. Clay remembers the touch of the hand, textiles hold the imprint of the maker. In these liminal spaces between past and present, we find stories—woven, shaped, and layered—creating new dialogues between the familiar and the reimagined.
Braided Histories is not just a conversation with tradition, but an active process of renewal. It is an exploration of allyship, a recognition of craft as knowledge, and an assertion that art has the power to bridge, reclaim and transform.
