In conjunction with the Southeast Asian Arts Forum 2025 at NAFA, Arts & Design Practice Research Exchange (ADPRex) presents “Capturing Practice,” to explore how writing and performance intersect within artistic creation. The event focuses on how acts of practice are shaped when writing becomes performative and performance forms part of critical discourse.
It also addresses the challenges of documenting transient experiences such as live performances, emotions, and moments that cannot be fully preserved. The theme reflects the dual meaning of “capture,” encompassing both expression and surprise, and extends to technologies like motion capture and data collection that transform creative processes.
