Invisible Direction is an exhibition by Grey Projects’ artists-in-residence Chen I-Chun and Helin Luo, who are part of a residency exchange between Waley Art in Taipei 水谷藝術 and Grey Projects.
The presentation involves a sequence of invisible ink markings within the Grey Projects space, but extends into the surrounding neighborhood, markings that only reveal themselves under sufficient UV light. The artists are interested in the regulations of bodies and habitations, in graffiti as wayfinding, and in audience participation as an analogy for decision-making in a time of late capitalism.
Join us on September 3rd for the exhibition opening and a talk by local artist Tang Ling Nah and Waley Art curator Ya-Siang Yang, where they will share about Waley Art’s Residency Programme as well as Ling Nah’s experience and exhibition in Taipei. There will be a screening of ‘Home-sick 水谷日記’, a short film directed by Lei Yuan Bin, featuring Ling Nah during her residency with Waley Art.
