Singaporean artist GOH Siew Guan (b. 1942) served diligently as a full-time art educator for three decades with the Ministry of Education (MOE). After his retirement from MOE, he devotes more time to paint. He is apt at painting landscape, trees and rocks; he mastered the technique of water colour and able to use the method of blanking and lifting out meticulously. Looking at his paintings, you will be intrigued by the way he depicts nature, especially forests, boughs, undergrowth, streams, rivers as well as the rugged rocks. Siew Guan travels around the world to experience the nature; all these places created a deep bonding between his heart and mother nature. He uniquely crafted all 45 pieces of artworks for this exhibition.
