“Conversations with Strangers” is a solo exhibition by Thai artist Pawarest Choksaen (Doe). Taking place from 27 July to 17 August 2024, the exhibition invites audiences to explore the intricate dynamics of human connections through Choksaen’s vibrant and evocative paintings.
In “Conversations with Strangers”, Choksaen skillfully captures the essence of everyday interactions, offering a glimpse into the unseen bonds that unite us all. Through his use of vivid colors and distorted imagery, the artist creates a surreal world where characters coexist with their surroundings, inviting viewers to contemplate the complexities of human relationships.
Reflecting on the inspiration behind the exhibition, Choksaen shares his belief that life is like a newly composed play each morning, where individuals navigate their own paths and shape their own destinies. Through his paintings, he seeks to narrate stories of human behavior and emotion, drawing attention to the diverse experiences that shape our lives.
