Held at ACM, Crossing Cultures invites visitors to experience Asian storytelling through a vibrant showcase of ancient traditions and modern expressions. From puppetry and traditional Bharatanatyam to Xinyao and improvisational theatre, enjoy live performances by Sin Ee Lye Heng Puppet Troupe, LimTayPeng, Bhaskar’s Arts Academy, and The Improv Company, all throughout the weekend!
For the adventurous ones, embark on a heritage trail led by author Eugene Tay and uncover Singapore’s rich tapestry of animistic traditions, spooky folklore, and age-old practices. Take part in an experience inspired by a Human Library, with personal stories, anecdotal sharings and heartfelt storytelling by individuals including Mohamed Imran Mohamed Taib, interfaith facilitator and writer, Alvin Tan, founder of The Necessary Stage, Jayasutha Samuthiran, intercultural dialogue curator, and more.
Families with little ones can look forward to engaging, hands-on drop-in activities, from typewriting their own stories to creating personalised bag charms.
