The creative journey is rarely linear. It is shaped by revisions, detours, and the remnants of experimentation. Crumbs brings these overlooked fragments into focus, offering an intimate look into the evolving practices of Year 2 BA (Hons) Fine Arts students.
Embracing residue as an essential part of artistic inquiry, Crumbs invites audiences to engage with the raw, in-between states of art-making—unresolved sketches, material tests, fragmented thoughts, and works-in-progress that resist finality. These traces act as markers of critical thought and labour, revealing the complexities of process over product.
Far from being mere scraps, these morsels of practice hold an essence—gestures towards something yet to come. Crumbs honours the beauty of incompleteness, acknowledging that every unfinished work carries the potential for transformation.
