Following the success of UN*listed in 2016, The Tiffin Gallery now presents the second installation of works by Singaporean painter, Danny Raven Tan. The series titled UN*dead explores the intimacy between a man and his legacy.
What do we want to leave behind after we are done with our time in this world? A good book? A good song? A captivating musical like The Phantom of the Opera? Classic movies, friends, fashion, iconic brands such as CHANEL, Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, an age-old recipe, our forgotten comic heroes as a child? Memories, languages, numbers, paintings… the list is endless…….
This latest collection, UN*DEAD, is a gentle reminder to the world what will last, through the eyes of the artist’s own cheeky, somewhat twisted, interpretation. Through the use of acrylic and mixed medium materials, Danny went on a roller coaster ride to search for the UN*DEAD.
