Design, Make & Craft Fair

Clockwise from top left: Miniature Asia Chef (Singapore), Ishinomaki Lab (Japan), kllylmrck (Singapore).

Design, Make & Craft Fair will offer everyone, young and old, the opportunity to pick up basic creative skills in making things and in the process, learn that design is part of everyday living. The Fair is produced by design retail store Supermama and Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia (2016) honouree Clara Yee.

Together, they conceived for the Fair the theme Creating a Better World by Design, with the intention of encouraging visitors to appreciate the displayed objects, as well as the thinking, process and personality of the people who make them. Expect to meet and view the works of 40 independent designers, makers and craftsmen from Singapore and the Asia-Pacific.

Selected designers will conduct on-the-spot workshops (suitable to all age groups, including children accompanied by adults). They will guide participants to design, make and craft objects. Take home the piece of craft you have made. Know that you have done your part in creating a better world – by design.
