What began as a vision of creating 100 bowls for the ceramist slowly translated into moving images for the filmmaker, Royston Tan. Alongside this collaborative process, Kim Whye Kee reflects on his own personal journey of being in and out of prison, and the quiet grief of returning home to find that a certain someone was no longer around to share a meal with. These lived experiences are what gently shapes the emotional undercurrent of the two interrelated works.
