This exhibition presents a selection of digital images, videos and process journals by Diploma Level 1 students from the School of Creative Industries.
The title of the exhibition is an abbreviation of the two modules from which the images and videos originate—Digital Imaging (DI), and Moving Images and Sound (MIS). During these modules, the students learnt fundamental skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, iMovie and sound software, such as drawing vectors, masking and layering, and editing moving images and sound. The students’ images use symbolic and iconic architectural structures as metaphors for personal identity. Videos represent the students’ interpretation of narratives from popular television, film and literature.
Images by the students are presented on three large prints designed to reflect Mac Finder windows. Each file icon shows an image by a student, whose name is represented in the file name.
