If eating is a communal activity, then food spaces – spaces where food is cultivated, transported, prepared, cooked and eaten – are common spaces. How do we think about such spaces and their design? How often at home in Singapore do we cook with the family? Do we have space to do this; can the person preparing a meal also spend time with the others in the family, at the same time? How can we integrate food spaces better with our daily lives?
