Seen by more than 7 million spectators around the world, Drum Tao has wowed the audience with their innovative and exhilarating Taiko drumming performances, since its debut in 2004 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
All Tao members (male and female) train rigorously to ensure that they are in their fittest. They wake up early every day to run for 20 kilometers, 200 sets of push up, sits ups, and 10 hours of drumming before they commerce their practice.
This year, Tao is bringing their new show “BUKYO – Japanese Dancing Drums” to Singapore on 31 August to 2 September 2017, and will be performing at the MES Theatre at Mediacorp.
Apart from some of the favorite songs, this new production feature new songs composed by Tao member such as BUKYO, BEAT BEAT, BLUE SKY, and new choreography. The staging also makes use of projection to create a futuristic feel. There’s even the usage of hover board in the show!
