The inaugural Entr’acte Arts Festival will be happening from 12 July to 14 August 2020. It is a free digital arts festival of theatre, visual arts and music managed by Republic Polytechnic’s Diploma in Arts & Theatre Management (DATM) Final Year Project (FYP) students. The festival features 7 projects, run by 13 FYP teams, working with 6 industry partners. The students are responsible for the marketing and design and construction.
The theme of the festival is “a break between the acts”. We perceive the intermission/pause of Entr’acte as the current Covid-19 situation. This period serves as a transition, a moment for us to slow the pace of our lives and reflect. We hope audiences will take a break, but at the same time, be inspired by and stay engaged with the various forms of art that the festival is bringing.
Audiences can look forward to an exciting array of content and activities, including behind-the-scenes, giveaway and live talk sessions featuring interviews with the Final Year Project students and game to extend the festival experience to more than what audiences usually see when watching shows online or on stage.
