The NGO “Dirchelish” is a non-governmental, non-profit and non-political youth organization whose activity focuses on comprehensive development of young people with disabilities, from families with various serious social problems and young people living in areas of country where socio-economic development is not enough developed. It also focuses on assisting young people with disabilities especially those coming from disadvantaged families and those who live in underdeveloped areas of Azerbaijan.

NGO “Dirchelish” have implemented more than 100 different projects in Azerbaijan and beyond its borders. and cooperated with the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe. Young members of the NGO have taken part at the seminars and trainings held in the European Youth Centers in Strasbourg, Budapest, and Reykjavik.

The NGO “Dirchelish” has also issued books, information bulletins, aired TV talk-shows, published over 200 various publications in mass media, taken a series of steps to raise awareness of the problems of disadvantaged youth through large-scale media coverage, as well as organized conferences, round-table discussions, cultural events, painting exhibitions, workshops, and conducted disability-related studies through its projects.
