Extraction – Reconstruction is the first major solo exhibition in Singapore by Chinese contemporary artist Wang Chongxue. Curated by Du Xiyun, the exhibition traces over two decades of Wang’s artistic practice, highlighting his spirit of “making the ancient new.” Centered on his seminal Transparent series, the exhibition focuses on his pioneering Transparent Technique, while also unveiling a new body of recent works on paper, creating a dialogue across time between tradition and contemporaneity, classical references and new explorations.
