Our figure drawing class offers to sharpen observational acuity by working from a real life model, and provides an excellent opportunity to respond and capture various poses accurately. Our instructor and artist, Le Matt, will explore line, value and anatomy within one session, ranging from quick poses of 5 minutes and less, to longer poses of 30 minutes. Via the use of dry media like pencils or charcoal, he will introduce different approaches to mark making, eg. contour drawing, gesture drawing/scribbling, and ‘scaffolding’. The class welcomes participants of all levels, novice or advanced.
Fee: $40 for members, $50 for non-members

Medium: Pencils, charcoals, kneadable erasers and paper (no bigger than A3)
