Take a break from the fast-paced pragmatic life of a city at Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay’s annual Flipside, where we ‘flip’ preconceived notions of art. From 24 May to 2 June 2019, we dive into comedy, music, visual art, puppetry, physical theatre and the circus arts, as they intersect in light-hearted and unexpected ways.

New to the festival this year are Flipside Circus Weekend, where we feature the dazzling, gravity-defying art of the circus, as well as Flipside Scratch Night, where we invite aspiring and established artists to share new material or ideas with an audience, open mic style.
