This exhibition explores the constant evolution of the self through an illustrative re-imagination of a voyager’s journey through life. FORAGE/VOYAGE is a light-hearted take on this expedition, where the voyager gathers disparate components: the past, memories, aspirations, internal monologues, idiosyncrasies, and interactions with one’s surroundings. All of these come together to shape a distinctive perception of identity, while fostering a sense of belonging for the voyager. The artist translates her personal experiences into a visual language that defines this series of illustrations, providing a departure point for the viewer to contemplate the fluid nature of identity formation in an increasingly globalised world.
