Featuring as DECK’s second public installation at Guoco Midtown Public Art Wall, Garden States by Marvin Tang explores the evolution of greenery in Singapore, a city where nature is intricately tied to national identity. Through photography, archival material, and research, the exhibition traces the legacy of the 1967 “Garden City” vision and its ongoing impact on urban planning. Reflecting on the choreography between nature and city-making, Marvin’s work invites viewers to consider how modern landscapes are imagined, constructed, and sustained.
