Helmed by artists Sanchia Tan and Amber Yingjue Chen of TANCHEN Studio, this workshop provides a fun, quick introduction to the basic principles of weaving. Each participant will be provided with their own loom, yarn and weaving tools to create a woven piece to take home. Participants will be taught simple techniques of tapestry weaving whilst integrating the theme of sustainability. Having sourced unwanted, discarded fabric scraps to weave as yarn, these materials will be repurposed to form an upcycled product by the end of the workshop.
