Hiding in Singapore: The Journey Between is a public art project with Liu Bolin’s signature technique of body painting and camouflage, merging human figures with their surroundings to explore themes of identity, belonging, and visibility. In this monumental work in Singapore, Liu Bolin collaborates with 100 local participants to narrate Singapore’s historical evolution—from maritime port, with arrival of diverse cultures, races, and religions to its emergence as a vibrant, and dynamic nation.
The completed artworks, along with Liu Bolin’s latest sculptures, will be showcased at The Fullerton Hotel Singapore from 21 January to 9 February 2025. The exhibition will be open to the public with free admission from 10am to 10pm daily.
