Sammy Nidam (b. 1968) is a product designer and multidisciplinary Israelian artist that currently resides in Singapore. With a background of 20 years in the design of retail, products and lighting fixtures, he provides various products and marketing solutions to some of the largest global companies. His products and works have been exhibited and sold in galleries throughout the world.
Alongside designing, the passion for painting has always been present throughout his career. In this new contemporary series, the figures of women emerge from past traditions. The old and the new are mixed, intertwined and reflected in the multiplicity of combined portraits in silhouettes and shadows. This framework represents the boundaries of tradition and creates a dialog, which also reflects the unique form of work and the artist’s trademark.
Part of the sales proceeds will go to ArtSE – A Social Enterprise (RaiSE member) that supports and empowers low-income, persons with special needs and disabilities in Singapore.
