Explore the intricacies of archiving and expression of art practices in Southeast Asia at the 6th Southeast Asian Arts Forum. Held from 7 to 8 August, the forum titled, Imaginary Library: The Art of Embodied Chronicles brings together a wide network of Southeast Asian artists, scholars, and practitioners to exchange ideas through sharing sessions.
Embark on a metaverse adventure exploring mythical creatures rooted in the rich heritage of Southeast Asia. Seeking Chimera: Myths in Southeast Asia, is an immersive metaverse experience jointly developed by the Institute of Southeast Asian Arts (ISEAA) and Silpakorn University principals, to be hosted on UOB World. The game, to be launched during the forum, plunges players into mythical realms on an adventure alongside three legendary creatures from Southeast Asian folklore.
Through these programmes, the forum highlights how archiving and documentation within art practice can inspire diverse artistic expressions. This dynamic process shapes an evolving understanding of the intersections between art history, culture, social sciences, and global narratives.
