In My Humble Opinion is a meeting place of ideas and discussion for the vast body of international non-fiction writing, whose ideas and problems has shaped the modern world since the beginning of the 20th century.
Following a successful first season, the series returns with How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie, moderated by Cheong Suk-Wai.
First published in 1936, Carnegie’s self-help book has sold over 15 million copies and was listed in Time Magazine’s list of the 100 most influential books. In it, he expounded ways to make people be more likeable, be better leaders and to achieve their maximum potential in the competitive modern age. His advice included the six ways to make people like you, the twelve ways to win people to your way of thinking, and the nine ways to change people without arousing resentment. Today, in the age of digital and social media his text seems more relevant than ever in examining the ways we interact and conduct ourselves with each other.
