Non-profit arts intermediary Art Outreach Singapore has announced the open call for the IMPART Art Prize 2023, which will run from 15 July to 30 September 2022. The IMPART Art Prize aims to support the professional development of emerging artists and curators by providing impactful career building opportunities, while building awareness and appreciation of Singapore art and practitioners. Each year, up to three winners will receive SGD20,000 each, alongside opportunities for industry-related growth and networking to further their practice.
A new addition to the long-standing Jury is Adele Tan, Senior Curator at National Gallery Singapore, whose research interests include modern and contemporary art in Southeast Asia, performative practices, photography and new media, signalling the Prize’s continued commitment to supporting inter and multidisciplinary practices.
Artists may submit up to 8 samples of work, while curators may submit up to 5 exhibitions and 3 writing samples. Application forms and guidelines can be downloaded from the IMPART Art Prize microsite and there are no fees to apply. The submission deadline is 30 September 2022, 11.59pm SGT.
