An exhibition at Objectifs will feature new works by Singapore artists Kirsten Tan (director of Pop Aye), Ian Woo, Hilmi Johandi, Gladys Ng, and Kray Chen, with Singapore-based Iranian artist Homa Shojaie.
Curated by Adeline Kueh and Yuni Hadi, In the Garden started as a discussion about the home and the cinematic narratives associated with such environs. Movements outwards from these physical spaces into a larger psychical space of the city as a constructed garden spontaneously occurred soon after. The subject matter of this exhibition thus became a contemplative site for these six artists from a variety of disciplines to mediate on questions on belonging, home, placeness, as well as nature and artifice in this fast-changing pace of the world we live in.
