In Infinite Play – Overspray – I just want to lie down everyday, artist Soph O embraces the infinite possibilities of spray painting where past and present collide in an explosion of colour. The art exhibition transports visitors directly into Soph O’s colourful mind, where transformation is represented in every hue. A celebration of both the past and future coexisting as one, the exhibition explores renewal as a necessary form of growth.

The artist’s process is mechanical in nature, using recycled materials and resurrecting them through a labour intensive process. The end result is reimagined as fluid, evocative and playful – unrecognisable from its original form. Prints exhibited are one-of-a-kind pieces resulting from multiple residual spray paint jobs with bursts of colour mimicking aura photographs.
