This exhibition presents oil cum acrylic work but also calligraphy and woodcut works by Dr Ho Kah Leong. As of now, Dr Ho is the only artist in Singapore to use ‘down to earth’ subject matters to carve his woodcuts, such as refugees, labourers, hawkers, local scene; etc. He also created “Yin Yang” dual tone calligraphy, to maximise the space of rice paper and to contain four same size of characters. The product may arouse the interest of the viewer to identify the words and learn the meaning therein. This art form is slowly getting momentum among the calligraphy community.
