Always wanted to be part of an artist project?
Find out how French artist MADAME uses ink and rice paper strips as part of her new project to reveal childhood remembrance and enhance cultural diversity.
During this workshop, you will use the artist’s ink and brushes to write down in your mother tongue one of your childhood memories on paper strips. These paper strips will then become a collective artwork when linked together and knitted.
This is a durational art project, which will last several months, maybe several years. By weaving and knitting the various strips, the artist strives both to reveal and hide the richness and uniqueness of childhood, as a founding element of everyone’s identity.
Limited to 8 persons per session. Each participant will take home several paper strips. All materials will be provided.
